Waikato Argus OmcK, Wednesday. MESSRS McNICOL AND CO.'S OHAUPO SALE. At Ohaupo on Tuesday, Messrs McNicol and Co. offered about 450 head of wellbred cattle, those yarded being principally backward stores. Taken all through, prices were about late ruling ones :—Dairy cows were not of a very good clas?, and although nearly all yarded were sold, prices ruled from £3 to £5 ; well-bred steers, 8 to 12 months old, 36s to 44s ; one and a-half to two year-old steers, £2 16s to £3 2a 6d ; two and a-half to three-year-old store steers, £3 7a to £4 6s, according to size and quality ; fresh empty cows and heifers, £2 15s to £3 5s ; store cows and heifers, £2 7s 6d to £2 l'.:s 61 ; fat cows and heifers, £4 5s to £6 12s; fat steers, £6 to £6 12j 6d ; about 35 head of beef yarded and all sold ; yearling Shorthorn bulls, 5 and 6 guineas. HAWERA MARKETS. The Egmont Farmers' Union (Limited) report :—At Manaia on the 15th inst. more than the advertised number of stock came forward. There was a largo attendance, and bidding was brisk for female stock. Two year-old steers, £2 18s to £3 5i ; fat cows, £3 to £3 9s ; store cows, £2 to £2 14s ; cows in calf, £2 10s to £3 7s 6:1 ; weaners, 10s 6d to 14s. Sheep: Fat sheep, mixed, Hsstl. At Stratford on the 17th inst. we submitted a very large entry of stock. Although the attendance was not large, bidding was spirited, resulting in most of the stock changing hands before leaviug the yards. Two-year-old steers, £3 to £3 5s ; 12 to 18-months steers, £2 3s to £2 14s ; fat cows, £3 5a to £3 15s ; dairy cows, £3 10s to £5 ; dairy heifers, £3 to £4 5s ; heifers in calf, £2 10s to £3 3s ; cows and calves, £2 17s to £4 2s 6d ; empty cows and heifers, £2 to £2 16a 6d ; weaners, 16s. .
