CRICKET.
TOILERS V. MOANAS. Tun cricket matches under the auspices of the Hamilton Cricket Association were continued on Saturday last, when the Toilers met the Mnauas on Sydney Square, Hamilton. The weather was anything but favourable, and owing to this fact several of the players did not turn up, and neither side put their chosen' 11 in the field. The game resulted in an easy win for the Toilers by 35 runs. The Moanas batted first and their combined contributions amounted to 56. Gothorpe played a really fine innings, carrying his bat for 37. Oliver and Purdie were the next highest with half-a-dozen apiece, and both wore caught out when shaping well. The Toilers replied with 91. Dr. Douglas topped the score with 27, his exhibition of cricket being a very creditable one, but he gave one or two chances. With the score at 27 he was well caught by Gothorpe, the top scorer for the Moanas. C. Cox batted nicely for his 20, when he waa also taken by Gothorpe. For this team Bockett and J. Hammond both reached double figures. The extras in this inning 3 totalled 16 which shows that the- fielding of the Moanas is capable of improvement. The following are the scores :

A match has beeea arranged with a Huutly eleven on Thursday to be played at Sydney Square, Hamilton. The following players will represent Hamilton :—F. \V. Browning. E. Gothorpc, Piatt, M. R. Oliver, G. Mahon, C. Speight, J. and W. Hammond, 11. Johnson, S. Meacham and Dr. Douglas. Emergencies: W. Dean, A B. Heather and F, D'Arcy. The following Hamilton players will journey to Cambridge on Thursday, to try conclusions with an eleven of that town. The brake will leave at 9.30 a.m. :—Rollison (2), Cox, Blackburn, Ross, Fitilayson, K'rk, Varney, Ewcn, Heather and Crekhton. Emergencies : von Stunner, Russell, Holloway and Hammil. Any player who is unable to get away is requested to let Mr Varney know before 12 o'clock on Wednesday.
