At lirisbane there is no steamer for the January sa'es, the Duke of Fife having been sent to San Francisco in ballast to take up charier to tke Government of the United S'ates. Agents nn; t') ,; ng in all d'rections to tet a steamer, and the best prr-pom) that they have been able to obtiiu was m the bisis of |'l and Id, and even then for only a limited nmouut of cargo. There has seldom been Mich a sudden advance in freights on this side, but the withdrawal of so many steamers for youth Africa and ihe United States business has completely chanced the position.
