Public Notice is hereby given that the Ngaroto Drainage Board intend, at a MEETING of the said Board to be held at their office at Te Awamutu at 5 p m. on SATURDAY, 30th September 1899, to confirm a resolution by way of Special Order passed at a Special Meeting ot the said Board on Friday, let September, 1899, making a Special Rate to provide interest and sinking fund for a loan of £SOO to be raised under the provisions of " The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," and " The Land Drainage Act, 1893,'' such Special Rate to be an aunual recurring Rate during the currency of such Loan, and to be levied on the lands within the Ngaroto Drainago District classed as receiving benefit from the construction of drainage works (as shown in the schedule to the said resolution) as follows :- Onk Penny in the Pound on the rateable value of lands in Class I. ; Onk Halfpenny in the Pound on the rateable value of lands in Class 11. ; and One-eighth oe a Penny in the Pound on the rateable value of lands in Class Hf., and to be payable on the first day of December in each and every year during a period of twenty-six years, or until the Loan is fully paid off. The first of such payments to be made on the first day of December next. A copy of the proposed Special Order is deposited and open to inspection during office hours at the office of the Board at Te Awamutu. Dated at Te Awamutu this sixth day of September, 1899.
