THE DREYFUS TRIAL.
[UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION].
(BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT). Paris, September 5. Sensational evidence has been given before the ltennes Court-martial. It showed that although the prosecution of 1891 antedated the bordereau to April owing to the phraso "Am attending manoeuvres," the documents enumerated could not have existed till May 23. The prosecution in 1898 fixed the date as September, but a circular of May 18 informed Dreyfus' colleagues they would not attend the manoeuvres.
M. Beauropairo's witness, Cernuschi, an Austro-Hungarian, was suddenly called, and testified ho heard a Foreign Office official mention Dreyfus as a German spy. Owing to the hostility of the President of the Court, M. Labori remained silent for three days while the prosecution proceeded, Referring to a fresh dossier M. Labori demanded a complete revelation of the documents. He accused the prosecution of refusing to take evidence that would compromise Esterhazy. If Dreyfus is condemned, an appeal will be lodged on the 2Gth on the ground of irregularities. Vienna, September 4. The local journals declare that Cernuschi is an impudent adventurer and a madman.
