RANGIAOHIA ROAD BOARD.

The usual monthly meeting of the Raogiaohia Road Board was held ou Saturday last. There were present: Messrs R. Burke (Chairman), R. KayEd. Dunn, Thos. Holden and Geo. McKinder. Orakau Swamp Rgad.—The following communication was received from Messrs Shaw, King, Clark and Qualtrough, all of whom reside near this road:—"As the Kihikihi creamery will open on Ist August, aDd the Swamp Road leading from Faikuku via Orakau thereto is iu a bad state of repair, we, the undersigned, most respectfully request you toassist us in effecting such repair;". We are quite willing to do the greater part of the work ourselves, which will occupy at least a fortnight. In complying with the above you will greatly oblige your petitioners.—W. M. Shaw. W. After some discussion Mr Bnrke proposed that the Board vote the sum of £lO towards the necessary repairs, provided the settlers find £20.-Seconded by Mr Holden and carried. BackPuuw Road—lt was resolved that Mr Mandeno be asked to inspect and take out quantities and call tenders, to be in by next meeting. Lake Road.--It was decided to have three or four chains of formation done on this road, Mr Mandeno to pass the work. ,„. , , Paikuku Hill.—Mr Kiug's tender for this cutting was accepted at. 5-Jd and 4s. Accounts.—The following; accounts were passed for payment :—W. Ingham, £4 10s; Souter and Co., £1 13s 3d ; C. Ogle, £5 4s ; W. Taylor, £1 16s 9d ; Geo. McGhie, £lO 18s4d.
