Auckland Education Board. The Kihikihi School Committee have decided to record their vote in favour of Mr Joseph Blades for the vacancy on the Board of Education, caused by Mr Ley's resignation, Chobch Meeting —The annual meeting of parishioners wan held in Christ Church (Anglican) o» Sunday eveniog last, the Rev. F. Latter prcsidinc;. There was not a large attendance. The report and balance-sheet, showing a credit balance of £1 Is 9d for the 12 months ending June 30th, 1899, and tho sum of £5 5a 6d to the credit of the repairs fund were read and passed. Hearty votes of thanks were accorded to the outgoing vestry and tho warden*, to tho organist and choir, to Mr Tristram for his voluntary duties as verger, and to Mrs Anderson for assistance given to the vicar and visiting clergymen. The following were elected a vestry for the current year : Messrs Hutohinson, Thomson, Walker, T. Anderson and Perry, with power to add to their number. Mr Ogle is to be Minister's Warden and Mr Tristram was unanimously elected People's Warden. Mr Latter announced that a Sundayschool would be started on Sunday next, and also that he hoped shortly to obtain the services of a lay reader so that a weekly service could be held in the church. It was resolved that the vestry meet on Wednesday night, August I6th, at 8 o'clock, to discuss important matters re repairs and appointment of verger, etc.—(Own Correspondent).
