(BY TELEGRAPH.—PRHSS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, Last Night. Percy Fisher was committed for trial on the charge of violent assault on Rebecca Griliin, by attempting to stab her.
At the meeting of the Education Conference this morning it was resolved that the standard of exemption be standard five, instead of four, and that the ecr.ool age be raised from 13 to 14 years.
New Plymouth, Last Night
The auxilliary schooner Oban is ashore 160 yards north of Waitara River. The oil engines failed when the vessel was taking the bar. She is right up on the beach, her rudder, propeller and beats being broken. There is no insurance.
