The Waikato Argus Office, Wednesday. MESSRS McNICOL AND CO.'S OHAUPO SALE. At Messrs McNicol and Co.'s sale on Tuesday, about 450 head of cittle were yarded, the majority being grown steers and empty cows of a good quality and in excellent condition. The line of grown steers and cows from the Thames Valley Company was a splendid lot and elicited keen competition. The tone ot the market was good and the sale was a brisk one, especially for fresh-condi-tioned ateers and empty cows. There was a fair muster of dairy cows, of an average quality, but bidding was languid, £4 10s being the highest price under the hammer. The day was fine and there was a good attendance of the public. The following are the quotations :—Dairy cows, from £4 to £4 10s ; Thames Valley Company's grown steers, . all sold, at from £5 9s to £6 lps, they were a nice lot and did credit to the breeder ; Polled Angus cows, in killable condition, £3 9s ; well-bred Shorthorn empty cowb, £3 19s ; speyed three-year-old heifers, from £3 to £3 10s 6d ; 18months steers, from 39s to 47s ; empty store cows, from £2 10s to £3 2s ; two-year-old heifers, £2 Is ; good calves (mixed aexes), 30a; 18-months heifers, 32s ; steer calves, 24s ; fat cows, from £4 3s to £5 9s ; fat steers, £7 Bs. Sheep : About 600 were offered ; longwool wethers, from 10s 6d to lis ; ewes in lamb, from 7s 6d to 8s 6d ; hoggets, from 6a to 7b 3d.—(Own Correspondent). ROTORUA MARKET REPORT. Mr W. T. At my weekly sale at the Mart, Rotorua, the following prices were realized:— Poultry : Hens Is 6d, roosters Is 7a to 2s 2s for pure bred fcwls, turkeys 4s to 7s; eggs, Is 2d dozen; butter, Is lb ; cabbages, 2£d each ; cauliflowers, 6d ; onions. lsd lb ; cheese, slb ; honey, 5d lb; bacon, 7£d to 8d lb, sides ; fresh wild pork, 2\& lb ; parsnips, 4s cwt ; red carrots, 4s ; horse carrots, 2s 3d sack ; potatoes, 4s 6d sack.
