CampbellBannoruian, said the Transvaal proposals were confused and not entirely understood. A Eeuter's message states that 40,000 have already signed the Cape petition to the Queen on behalf of the Uitlanders. Pretoria, July 11. The Uitlanders' Council here have passed a resolution censuring Mr Schreiner, the Premier of the Cape, for approving of plausible reforms, which they say are designed to retain the prcseut unrepresentative system. Naples, July 10. The steamer Reichstag has loft here, conveying 15,000 rifles and 500 tons of war material for the Transvaal. Brisbane, July 11. The Government has offered the Imperial Government to equip and send 250 mounted infantry to South Afiica. (Received July 12, 10.30 a.m.). London, July 11. Immense quantities of war stores aro being despatched to South Africa. The Admiralty has provisionally secured steamers accommodating 13,000 troops. Nationalist members of the House of Commons aro protesting against supplies of dum-dum bullets being sent to South Africa. The British cruiser Doris and the gunboat Widgeon have arrived at Lorenzo Marques, Delagoa Bay. Capetown, July 11. Mr Schreiner, the Premier, and Mr Hof meyer, the leader of the Afrikander party, have interviewed Sir Alfred Milner in reference to the affairs in the Transvaal. Pretoria, July 11. The powder magazine at Magoto land exploded, killing five Boer artillerymen. Melbourne, July 12. The Commandant suggests that Victoria will co-operate with the other colonies in sending a contingent to the Transvaal.
