NEW LIVERY STABLES FOR HAMILTON.
Very extensive livery stables, for which tenders are called in this issue, are to be erected in connection with the Commercial Hotel. This undertaking will fill a long-felt want in this borough, as accommodation of a most unique character is embraced in the plans. Twenty stalls, each Oft. x 13ft., arc provided in the main stable, 10 upon either side, which is a carriage way 13ft. wide, through w hieh a coach and six or a load of hay can be driven. above these stalls provision is nict ( | e t nn the storage of fodder, and a lan» c bin, 13ft. x 13ft. aud 4ft. in depth, foi i>oriodical supplies of chaff, which is conducted from the same to a feed-box on the lower storey. At the rear are provided six loose boxes, each 14ft. x 10ft., and large coach sheds. The building will be erected of kauri and ritnu. The drainage, water supply and sanitary arrangements are excellent, aud judging from an inspection of the plans, which we have been favoured with by Mr V. H. White, the architect, every detail calculated for the comfort of a travelling public has been carefully studied.
