LORD KITCHENER.

GRANT VOTED. [united press association.] (by ELEOTEIC telegraph—OOPYßlGHl). London, June 6. In Committee of Supply, the House of Commons carried the resolution in favour of a graut to Lord Kitchener for his services in the Soudan by 393 to 51. Sir H. Campbell-Bannerman supported the motion, but criticised Lord Kitchener's action in connection with the disentombment of the Mahdi. Mr John Morley also delivered a vehement speech. Mr Balfour, in reply, denied that the late Mahdi was disentombed by stealth. The Soudanese officers and men openly disentombed the dry bones with the view of destroying the superstition of the natives. The British officers, he said, vYould remain in the Soudan, otherwise the position might be jeopardised. Lord Kitchener was present during the debate. .
