WAIKATO FRUITGROWERS' ASSOCIATION.

The quarterly meeting of the Wakato Fruitgrowers' Association was held in Mr Teddy's Hotel at Ohaupo on Tuesday last. Mr Farrer (President) occupied the chair. The Secretary read a letter from Mr J. H. Mackie re Orchard Pest Bill, enclosing a draft of the same to be iutroduced next session.—The clauses of the Bill were considered, and with one or two slight modifications were approved by the members present. Clause 5 to be altered in the direction of giving the chairman of the Board only one vote—a casting vote. Mr Farrer proposed and Mr Karl seconded, " That all remedies advocated by Fruit Boards, with codlin moth added in schedule, be accepted as modified by the Union Executive."—The meeting evidently were iu favour of the principle of the Bill. This was all the business.—(Own Correspondent)
