The wicket was sodden from the rain on Sunday night. The Home team went in first and were all disposed of for 114 runs, Abel 22, Hayes 12, Brock well 29, Jephson 16 and Hay ward 16, being the only double figure men. Howell took all the wickets for 28 runs. The Australians lost five wickets for 163, Darling 10, Worrall 22, Hill 2!), Gregory 36, Noble 16, Iredale (not out) •10, Truinper (not out) 6. (Received May 17, noon). London, May 16. The Surrey match had to be abandoned owing to the rain.
