At the Haymarket auctiou sale oat sheaves were from Is 6d to Is 9d ; meadow hay, Is 6cl to 2s cwt; straw, 18s to 26s load ; ex store maize, 2s 9d ; wheat, 2s 6d ; oats, Is 7d to Is lid ; pressed straw, £2 15s ; meadow hay. £3 10s ; bocedust, £6 10s ; guano, £3 10s ton. On Friday horse stock, yarded numerously, met a steady demand, particularly for heavy to medium draught; those ranged in price from £ls to £3O, and more horses could have been placed. The trotting stallion Atlas brought 31 guineas. On Tuesday, hides pitched in full number. Cow hides in better demaud. Ox hides wero from 3£d to 4|d ; cowhides, 3|d to 4d; kip, 3£d; calfskins, 3£d to 3|d lb; horse skins, 8s each; tails, Is 8d dozen; tallow, 14s 6d to 16s; fat, IJd to lfd ; wool, 3£d to 4&d lb ; sheep pelts, Is 3d to 2s 3d ; lamb's pelts, Is 3d to 2s 5d each. Maize en wharf, 2s 6d bushel. At Remuera on Thursday dairy cows, in limited numbers, were at late values ; prices for those at profit were from £4 to £6 5s each. Store cattle, numerous, grown steers in request, brought from £4 to £5 each. Heifers and yearlings not in demand. Calves, yarded in excess of average, kept their values; fresh-dropped calves, from 2s to ss; week old, 7s to 15s ; month old, £1 to £1 13s each, fat cattle abundant ; those of choice quality advanced in value; second quality irregular io price: prices were from 15s to 18s 1001 b throughout. Steers were from £5 to £9 12s 6d ; cows, £3los to £6 5s each. Sheeprin-fiill number, sold freely; wethers ranged up to 14s 6d ; ewes, lis 3d each. Lambs, short of requirement, to Pis each. Pigs, in less numbers than usual, were at late values. Messrs Hunter and Nolan's Report. Horses : Large numbers have been brought forward and changed hands without alteration in value. An unusually large number were submitted by auction at the Durham Yards on Friday, and, with few exceptions, found purchasers. Heavy draughts from £l2 to £27 ; medium draught, £8 to £l6 10s ; light harness, £3 to £9 10s ; hacks, £3 108 to £8 15s ; weeds, 15s to £2 ss. On Wednesday, we held a very successful sale at Messrs Pullan and Armitage's stables, Green Lane, of coaching horses. There was a large attendance, and good bidding throughout. Prices ruled from £1 53 up to £l6 each. Wool, hides, skins, tallow, bones : A good catalogue was gone through at the Durham Yards, and fully the previous week's values were obtained: We quote : Stout ox hides, at from 4£d to sfd lb ; cows and steers, 3£d to 4d ; stag, 2d to 2£d ; kip, 3d to s£d ; calfskins, 3d to 4d lb ; bones, £3 ton ; tallow, 12s to 14s 6d cwt; sheepskins, 2s 2d to 3s 6d each ; pelts, salted Is to Is lOd, dry and weevily 2d to 9d each. Wool : Merino fleece in bales, 4-Jd ; crossbred, to 5d ; longwool, 3Jd to 4 J f d ; dead wool, 2£d to 3|d ; pieces, 2d to 2|d ; locks, |d to lb ; horsehair, Is 3£d lb. Cattle : At the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday, dairy and store stock were penned in usual numbers, with no alteration in values. Beef was yarded in full Dumbers, and scarcely kept last week's values. Oxen sold at from 16s to 193 per 1001 b ; cows, 4S?-to 16s 1001 b ; fat steers, from £4 5s to £S 10s : cows, £3 5s to £5 15s ; dairy cows, £4 7s 6d to £6 17s 6d ; fresh conditioned cows, £1 7s to £2 6s. Sheep : The Newmarket Yards were fairly well filled on Tuesday, and advanced fully 2s per head on last week's quotations. Fat wethers sold at from l's 3d to 15s ; fat ewes, 9s 6d to 12s 9d ; store wethers, 7s 9d to 9s 9d ; lambs, in short supply, sold freely from 8s 9d to 12s. Pigs, yarded more numerously than for some weeks, sold well. Porkers sold at from 15s to £1 178 6d ; weaners, 6s to 13s each.
