PARASITIC DISEASES IN SHEEP AND CATTLE.
The recent visit of Mr Gilruth, Government bacteriologist, to Waikato has not been without its lesson to stock-owners. From the examinations and enquiries he was enabled to institute during his Bhort visit both at Mamaku and Te Rore, it may fairly be assumed that parasitic invasion is the root of the trouble infecting stock in the aforementioned districts, to which Mr Gilruth's attention was more particularly directed, and which has so long baffled investigation. As a remedy for all such ailments, we have had for some years before the public an infallible remedy in " Sonjet," a specially and scientifically prepared vermifuge for sheep, cattle and horses, quite innocuous, so that it can be used without risk of injury to stock. From time to time the merits of this remedy have been referred to in the columns of the Press by various writers, and the numerous testimonials in the hands of the manufacturers warrant us in again drawing special attention to its qualifications at this season, when itß use is particularly effective in building up the system to withstand the trying winter season now approaching.
