PATERANGI.

Serious Accident.—A serious accident happened to a man named William Dalrymplo ou Sunday evening as he was proceeding from Te Awamutu to Paterangi. It appears that the man, who is assisting Mr Hannah in runniug Mr Hutchinson's threshing machine, was riding quietly along the road, and when near Mr Bennett's two young ladies passed him at a canter. His horse started to follow, but as the man is a poor rider and owing to a sore foot had only one foot in the stirrup, he lost his balance and fell to the ground. The horse must have trodden on his face, as he was terribly cut. Assistance was procured aud Mr G. Finch conveyed the man to Te Awamutu, where Dr. Pairman bound up the unfortunate man's hoad and sent him on to the Hospital. It is feared he may loose the use of one eye.— (Own Correspondent).
