Messbs Alex. Aitkkn&Co.'r Weekly Report.—The special features of the produce markets this week were the rise in eggs and continued scarcity of butter, both being in great demand. Owing to the continued outlet to Manila and Australia, prime potatoes have retained values and are now scarcer. Southern sorts just to hand are good and are realising 3s per cwt. Bacon still scarcer and selling at 8d ; cheese firming. Fruit in good' supply and all prices firming. Lemons and quinces in great demand. Poultry coming to hand freely at advanced rates ; 57 young pigs penned today and realised full values.
