♦ The Waikato Argus Office, Wednesday. MESSRS McNICOL & GO'S, OHAUPO SALE. At Messrs McN : col and CoY yards on Tuesday there was but a small muster of cattle, about 240 of all classes, two and three year-old steers predominating ; not ma ay grown steers offering ; calves were fairly well represented, and, although the quality was good, the bidding was dull and very few sold. In sympathy with the price of beef in the Auckland market, all classes were dull of sale. The line from Awakino was of a fairly good quality and all sold at what were considered low prices. Only a few dairy cows we're offered, but none were sold under the hammer. The following are the quotations; three-year-old steers, from £2 15s; coarse to £3 12s for fresh conditioned ; 2J- year steers from £2 15s to £3 ; 2 year-old steers from £2 2s to £2 9s ; cows, with calve 3 at foot, £2 5s ; 15 month old steers, 35s ; empty heifers, good condition, £2 13s ; old cows, 30s ; coarse yearliug steers, 23s ; fresh empty cows, £2 17s ; coarse 2 year old steers, • 30s ; grown steers, from £3 10s to £4 4s ; fat heifers, £2 12s.—(Own Correspondent).
