ANTARCTIC REGIONS.

(BY KLKCTRIC TELEGRAPH. COPYEIQHT). London, March 28. Mr Longstait, Fellow of the Geographical Society, has contributed £25,000 towards the Antarctic exploration fund.
The Times, commenting on the subject, says £40,000 is now available, and it is probable others will emulate the example of Mr Longstaff in equipping a national expedition worthy of the country. It was to be hoped the Government would help in some shape. The Daily News says tho tremendous possibilities of exploration in the South Polo form its great chnrin.
