WAITOA ROAD BOARD

1 iik ordinary monthly meeting of the above-mimed Boar.l took place last Saturday. Present : Messrs W F. Chtpmell (in the chair), J. C. Alle:\ A. Aitkeu and T. Bellamy. Thirds.—A schedule of " thirds " due to the Board on the 31 at January, 1899, amounting to £B2 5a lid, was received from the Receiver of Laud Revenue.—lt was decided that the Engineer, with Messrs Bellamy and Farmer, make out a scheme of works for the expenditure of the money, to be submitted to the Board for consideration at the next meeting. Drains —A letter was received from Mr A. Bossins, calling attent'on to drains requiring to be cleaned out on Block IX., Aroha.—A letter was iccimd from Mr J. Collins, suggesting that the drain from Johnsou's Creek to Lovcgr ve's Ro.id be cleaned out from " thirds '' fiom his sec.ion.-The Hoard decided to get the work done, and decided also, that outfall drains for the bene Ht of R. Burke's land be attended to. FENCE. -The Engineer reported that Mr W. A. Roberts has removed the fence he erected aur ss the road on Bl >ck IX, Aroha, ai.d has now fenced his side of the road. Repairs.—The Engineer reported that he made arrangements for gettiug additional rep lbs done on Maungakawa Road, n a cost of £lO.-He had also made i'angemeuts for getting 'he &P- - the Hiiiuhuru Bridge, on Road, repaired at a, cost of £'2. —The Board decided to get repairs done on the road near Mr Larney's.
