At the Police Court Philip Henry Levy was lined os and costs for making a bet with Arthur Lewis in the Domain on 11th March upon the result of the 300 yards handicap. Defendant pleaded guilty. A cheque for the balance of the Military Tournament funds has been handed to the Statue Committee, and the dispute is now finally closed. The members of the St. George's Swimming Club, of Wanganui, who have come up to compete at to-morrow's swimming championship meeting, arrived to-day. They were received by the officials of the Auckland Club and escorted to the Amateur Sports Club, where a reception was held.
