A PASSENGER'S RIGHTS.
(BY TELEGRAPH. —PEESS ASSOCIATION). Wellington, Last Night. It will be remembered that early in January when the Takapuna was leaviDg Onehunga the Customs authorities prevented those who had secured passages for the South in the steamer from going on board, alleging that she had her full complement. Among those was Mr 1). B. Nolan, the well-known commercial traveller, and some excitement was created by his being ordered ashore after securing a berth a week in advance. Mr Nolan, through his solicitors, demanded compensation from the Union Company, and he has just been advised that this has been paid.
