Tbk Waiiato Argus Offiob, Wednesday. MR W. J. HUNTER'S OHAUPO
SALE. At Mr W. J. Hunter's Ohaupo Yards on Tuesday there was a very large muster of stock, the yards being well filled. About 700 head of all "classes were yarded, nearly all of a good quality. Calves were numerous but dull of sale ; in fact, the market altogether was depressed and bidding was languid. No doubt the dry weather has all to do with it, as farmers don't know how long it may last. Not many dairy cows were offered, prices for that class being about the same as usual, from £3 to £4. The following are the quotations :—Dairy cows, from £3 to £4 ; springing heifers, £3 ; 16-months old steers, from 28s 6a to 35s ; calves (mixed sexes), from 12s to 14s; steer calves of good quality, from 16s 6d to 18s; 18 months steers, from 31s to 35s ; grown steers, very forward, £4 6s ; 2fyear-old steers, £2 5s ; two to three-year-old heiferi, from 25s to £2 ; empty cows, from £2 to £2 10s ; cows with calves. £2 7s ; young heifers, 19s 6d to 25a ; fat oows, from £3 5s to £4 15s ; fat heifers, £3 45.-(Own Correspondent
