T«B Wakato Arods Oman, Wednesday. MESSRS McNICOL & CO'S OHAUPO SALE. At Messrs McNicol and Co's yards on Tuesday there was a good muster of cattle; about 500 head of all classes were yarded, all of good quality. There were several lines of well grown bullocks from Te Akau and Kawhia, not many dairy cows offered ; calves were numerous, and of a very good quality. Although the tone of the market was not brisk, nearly every beast was soli. Dairy cows from £3 17s 6d to £4; grown bullocks in fresh condition, from £4 17a 8d to £4 lis ; 2£ year old steerß, from £2 14s to £2 17s ; 18 month steers, 28s ; 3 year old steers, £3 17s ; mixed calves, of good quality, from 14s to 16s; steer calves 20s ; empty cows, from 38s to £2 12s 6d ; fat cows, from £3 to £4.— (Ohaupo Correspondent). FRUIT MARKET. The Otago Fruit and Produce Agehoy report under date—Dunedin, February 17th.—The market has been well supplied with fruit, which has moved off freely at fairly satisfactory prices. Tomatoes are in over supply, but if consignments are moderate next week we hope to see present values maintained. Pears: These have come in with a rußh. Melbourne Bon Chretien, 15s to 16s per case ; Christchuroh and local, 2d to 3d per lb; inferior to medium varieties are saleable only at very low prices. Plums: The supply of these has been exceedingly heavy. We have, however, not sold any jzood-conditioned lots at less than ljd per lb. We quote prime green gages, 2|d to 2|d per lb ; other dessert sorts, 2d to 2Jd per lb; preserving and cooking varieties, ljd to 2d per lb ; Nelson and Auckland, 3s to 5s per case of 201 bto 241 b nett. Apples : These have had better demand. Prime green cooking varieties, ljd per lb; medium, 3s 6d to 43 per case; dessert •orts, prime well-coloured, 5s to 6s per case; inferior and moth-infeoted lots are quite unsaleable. Peacheß: These have been in fair supply. We expect to see a big lot next week. Tevioc have sold at from 2d to 4£d per lb. Consignments ex Te Anau realised 3s to 7s per box, according to quality and condition. Apricots : A large proportion of Teviots were of very poor quality and badly spotted. Prime, 4d to 4Jd per lb; inferior to medium, 2Jd to 3£d.
