DEATH OF PRESIDENT FAURE.

(BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT). (Received February 17, 7 30 p.m.) Paris, February 17. Obituary : President Faure. Ho died suddenly of apoplexy. President Faure was taken ill in his study at six o'clock in the evening, and culled for assistance. He was helped to a 6ofa, which was transformed into a bed, and where he died exactly at 10 o'clock. It was known that his heart was affected for some months. The Premier' Dupuy was in attendance throughout and announced the tidings to the Prefects. There were many callers at President Faure'e house, including the Presidents of both Chambers. The doctors at eight o'clock informed his wife and daughters that his condition was hopeless. Presidont Faure soon after became unconscious. A stream of visitors gathered in the precincts of the Elysee, but only ministers wore admitted. There is national mourning throughout France.
