Distance, one mile. Nomination, 4s; acceptance, 4s. 4. HACK RACE, of 6sovs. ; lO.h out of stakes to go io second horse. For horses that have never won an advertised race and to be the property of owners for three months, and to rc.-ide within 20 miles of Tirau by road. Minimum, lOst up Distance, one mile. Nomination, 3s ; aocept> ance, 3s. 5. THAMES VALLEY HANDICAP, of 15sovs. ; £2 10s out of stakes to go to second horse. Distance, 1£ miles. Nomination, 7s 6d ; acceptance, 7s 6d. 6. FLYING STAKES HANDICAP, of 7sovs.; lsov. out of stakes to go to second horse. Distance, six furlongs. Nomination, 3s 8d ; acceptance, 3s 6d. 7. HANDICAP TROT, of shovs (> Distance, two miles. Nomination, 2s; acceptance, 2s. Nominations to close 15 minutes after 6th race. To be handicapped by the Stewards or their appointee. RULES. 1. NOMINATIONS to be in the hands of the Secretary, on MONDAY, March 13th, 1899. 2. WEIGHTS to appear ou SATURDAY, 18th March, 1899. 3. ACCEPTANCES, aocompanied by the necessary fees, to be in the hands of the .Secretary at Tirau, by SATURDAY, March 25th, 1699. 4. If a walk over, only half the stakes will be paid. 5. No Nominations or Acceptances will be received on any pretence whatever after the day named, or without being accompanied with the necessary amount of cash, 6. Age, pedigree and performances of horses, and colours of riders, to be sent in with all entries. 7. Any jockey riding, except in the colours entered, will be fined lsov. a 8. All protests must be made in writing to the Secretary within 15 minutes after the race, accompanied by lsov., which will be forfeited to the Club should the protest be dismissed. 9 Should any dispute arise in any connection with these races, the decision of the Stewards shall be accepted as filial and conclusive, and every owner nominates subjict to these condition.
