VICTORIAN LOAN
[united press association], (by electric telegraph —copyright). London, February 10. The success of the Viotorian loan is assured. Six months' payment of interest is payable on July I. Scrip is quoted at five-eighths per cent, uiium. The loan will not be underwritten. Melbourne, Febiuary 11. Sir George Turner states that the loan is intended for conversion purposes, and will replace the million and a-balf four per cent, loan, falling due on January 1. It has a currency of 50 years, with the right to redeem at any time after 30 years, upon giving 12 months' notice. The financial advisers of the Government strongly favoured terminable stock ns cheaper and more profitable.
