(BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION). Wellington, Last Night. The first application for the Old Age Pulsion declined on account of bad reputation was refused this morning. The applicant was a well known old vagabond, who has frequently been before the courts. Wm. Findlay, for breaking and entering at Palmersion North, was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment. Dpnedin, Last Night. Mr J. F. Eraser, Crown Prosecutor, i 3 issuing a writ against Wm. Isaac, son-in-law of the late Johnny Jones, for an alleged libel reflecting seriously on plaintiff's professional reputation. proprietor of the Otago Workman will also be proceeded against for printing the alleged libel.
