His clothes are being chemically examined, and his boots used to see if they correspond with the tracks found in the viciuity of the murder. The Gatton people are being kept in a simmer of excitement. The latest sensation is that a lunatic is roaming at large through the district, with a knife, seeking to kill somebody, The police are pursuing him. A waistcoat, mended in a peculiar fashion, has been found near the scene of Bill's murder. It is regarded as an important clue.
