RITUALISM.

In connection with the anti-ritualistic movement in England, Dr. Maclagan, Archbishop of York, has forbidden the clergy to interpolate ceremonies in the church services which are not authorised in the Book of Common Prayer. Dr. Creighton, Bishop of London, has forbidden the celebration of Requiem Masses at St. Alban's Church, Holborn, and has attended the services for the purpose of prohibiting the same.
