The NGAROTO DRAINAGE BOARD hereby eive public notice that they propose to BORROW THE SUM OF FIVE HUNDRED POUNDS by way of a Special Loan under the provisions of Ihe Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886, for the purpose of making clearing and altering drains aud making necessary works in connection therewith, to lower the lakes and drain the lands in the Ngaroto Drainage District, in accordance with the plaas deposited in the Board's office, aud that they propose to pledge as security for such loan an annually KECCKRINU SPECIAL RATE to be levied for twenty-six years on the lands in the said district as follows : One Penny in the Pound on the rateable value of lauds classed as receiving or supposed to receive immediate ind direct benefit. One Half-penny in the Pound on the rateable value of lauds classedas receiving or supposed to receive less direct benefit and One-eighth of a Penny in the Pound on the rateable value of lands classed as receiving only an indirect benefit from the construction of drainage works.
