(BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION). Wellington, Last Night. The Cabinet has decided to retain the services of Judge Mair, of the Native Land Court; but Judges Wilson and Ward are to be retired. One of the ktter, however, will resume Magisterial duties under the Justice Department. Hawera, Last Night. An old Maori, named Hanaiora, who was fishing in a boat by himself on Saturday, was blown out to sea. Unless picked up by a passing steamer, he is probably drowned. Christchurch, Last Night. The body of an unknown swagger has been found in the river at Irwell. A fierce north-west gale yesterday did a good deal of damage in the country districts, stripping trees of young fruit and breaking the graiu pods. The weather has now moderated.
