Accustom yourself to take everything to God. 5. Realize God as ever present with you. 6. Be earnest, sincere, faithful and true at all costs. 7. When suffering a wrong, remember that your auger hurts you more than the worst injury. 8. Never lose an opportunity of doing a kind action. " The error of a moment may be the sorrow of a lifetime." 9 Never lose time iu idle self-pitying or excusing yourself but ask God to show where you have goue wroug. IC. Iu the eveuiug review the day before God, thauk Him for all His mercies to you aud pray for everyone you have come iu contact with. JESUS SAID : " I will come uuto him aud wo will make our abode with him. " Lo ! I am with you always." (F)
NOT KNOWING. I kuow uot what will befall me ! God hangs a mist o'er my eyes, And o'er each step of my onward path He makes new scenes to rise ; And every joy He seuds mo comes as a sweet and glad surprise. I see uot a step before me as I thread the days of the year ; But the past is still iu God's keeping, tho future His mercy shall clear, Aud what looks dark iu the distauco may brighten as I draw near: For perhaps tho dreaded future has less bitter thau I think, The Lord may sweeteu the water before I stoop to driuk; Or, if Marah must be Marah, He will stand beside its Drink, It may be He has beeu waitiug, for the coming of my feet, Some gift of such rare blessedness, some joy so strangely sweet, That my life cau ouly tremble with the thanks I cannot speak. Oh ! restful, blissful, iguoraucc ! 'Tis blessed uot to kuow ! He keeps me quiet iu those arms which will uot let me go, Aud hushes my soul to rest ou the bosom which loves me so. So I go ou, not knowing ! I would not if I might; I would rather walk iu the dark with God than go aloue iu tho light, I would rather walk with Him by faith thau walk aloue by sight. My heart shrinks back from the trials which the future may disclose, Yet I never had a sorrow but what the dear Lord chose, So I send the coming tears back with the whispered words "He Knows." —Anonymous (F).
