DEATH SENTENCE. [united press association.] (by electbic telegraph—copybisht). London, December 9. The sensational trial has concluded at Liverpool of Lieut. B. G. Warka, of the Eoyal Artillery, in connection with the death of Miss Jane Yates, a young lady af independent means and a member of a highly-respectable Liverpool family, to the effects of an illegal operation. The two formed a liaison, and the evidence at the inquest disclosed that Warke, who was a married man, aided and abetted the performance of the operation. He was arrested on the charge of murder, and has now been found guilty and sentenced to death.
