HORSE SALE AT HAMILTON. Mr W. J. Htjntkb held a most successful special horse, sale in Hamilton on Thursday and Friday. The sale had only been advertised for one day, but on account of the large number of animals brought forward, the auctioneer was compelled to extend the sale over yesterday. Upwards of 370 animals of all classes were brought forward, and although bidding was by no means brisk, over 300 were sold at satisfactory prices. The principal demand existed for medium draughts suitable for farm work. For good useful animals of this class prices ranged from £l2 to £2l. Heavy draughts reached £26 ss, and unbroken draughts realised from £l3 to £l9 10s Light draughts brought from £6 to £lO ]()a. Prices for good hacks raDged from £9 to £l6 15s, and those of an inferior class from £4 to £B. Mr W. Thornton's double-seated buggy and pair were sold for £55.
