(BY TELEGRAPH.—I'RESS ASSOCIATION). Auckland, Last Night. Thk fignalnum at Russell telegraphed this afternoon that a steamer passed for the South at 12.45 p.m. She is probably the Queen Margaret, from New York via Sydney. At the inquest on the body of Wm. Ogle, who died at a service in St. Matthew's Church on Thursday, a verdict of death from syncope was returned. In the libel action, Jas. Wilkinson v. Joseph Partington, arising from what is known as " The Old Windmill Pamphlet," the plaintiff was awarded £IOO and costs. The Waiotahi monthly yield amounted to £555. A fire broke out to-night in the block of Messrs Yates and Co., seedsmen, in the third storey, occupied by Miss Tuffntll, dressmaker. Her department was completely gutted. The insurance is not known.
