WAIKATO LICENSING COMMITTEE.

The quarterly meeting of the Waikato Licensing Committee was held at the Courthouse, Hamilton, at noon yesterday. There were present: Capt. Jackson, S.M. (Chairman), and Messrs C. J . Storey, E. Fitzpatriek, G. Edgecumbe and J. P. Bailey. TRANSFERS. The only business was dealing with three transfers, and these were granted, as follows, viz : Royal Hotel. Hamilton : William Prestou to Mrs Frances Elleu Hamilton. Commercial Hotel, Hamilton : George Joseph Maun to Joshua Smith. Waipa Hotel, Nganmvahia : Joshua Smith to Peter Guthrie. The police were represented by Sergeant Stapletou, and the reports were all favourable. Mr Lewis O'Neill, Hamilton, represented the applicants in each case.
