The Waikato Argus Office, Wednesday. M R \V J. HUNTER'S OHAUPO STOCK SALE. AT Mr W. J. Hunter's sale, on Tuesday, there was a very large muster of J»Wj*> All the pens being crammed, fully SOU head were offered, and most of the stock were of good quality and forward in condition. There was a good attendance of the public. The tone of the market appeared to he a shade easier for young stock ; but grown steers still maintain their price. Dairy cows are dull, but the season is getting late for that class of cattle. Beef was also a bit easier. Ihe following are the quotations :—Second hand waggon, £ls 10s; two-year-old Prince Fergus colt, £l7 5s ; mare and foal, £lO 10s ; dairy cows, from *3t° £4 ; springing heifers, from £2 5s to £o ; yearling bulls, £3 10a ; yearlings (mixed sexes), from 18s to 22s 6d j yearling steers, 26s to 28s ; calves (mixed), from 12s to 18s, for small ; 18-months steers, from £1 10s to £2 2s 6d ; two and a-half year-old steers, from £2 8s to £3 ; grown steers, in fresh condition, from £4 4a to £5 5s ; three-year-old steers, from £.5 to £3 10s ; two-year-old heifers, from 30s to 35s ; empty cows, from £1 10s to £2 12s; cows rith calves. 29s ; empty heifers, £2 6s ; fat cows, £3 12s 6d to £5 5s ; fat steers, from £5 10a to £6.-(Own Correspondent).
