STARTLING STATEMENTS. [united press association.] (by electric telegraph copyright). (Received November 30, 11 a.m.). London, November 29. An article published in the Contemporary Review contains startling statements of French intrigue in Africa. The writer alleges that in 1596 France entered into plots with Menelik and the Khalifa to establish posts on the Nile and obtain the Bahr El Ghazul territories.
