RANGIAOHIA.
Wkdding.—Rangiaohia, usually a very sedate and matter-of-fact district, was roused into unusual activity on Tuesday, the Bth iust. The cause of this was an interesting event in the shape o,f a wedding, the happv couple being Miss Hanna Kay, daughter'of Mr Roger Kay, a wellknown and respected settler of this district, and Mr H. J. Skinner, son of Major Skinner, late of Auckland. The ceremony was most ably performed by Rev. Father Purton (who is at preseut acting as locum tenens for Father Luck) at the Roman Catholic Church, Kihikihi. After the eeremouy the wedding party and a number of intimate friends returned to Paikuku, the residence of the bride's parents, and here a most recherche breakfast awaited them. The usual toasts were drunk, and a most pleasant time spent by all. During the afternoon the newly-married couple left for their honeymoon trip amid showers of rice, old shoes, and cheers. The wedding presents were on view, and were both numerous and valuable.—(Own Correspondent.)
