A good story of the " Things one would rather have expressed differently " type is being whispered about Gloucester (says the London Daily News). Some " crank" had been writing to the local paper* complaining that during the Musical Festival he was not admitted to the Cathedral free, that being a place of worship. The " crank " turned up at the Cathedral the other day, and was told he could not be admitted without a ticket. " Do you mean to tell me," ho excitedly argued, " that I require a ticket to enter the Kingdom of Heaven ?" " "Well, no," exclaimed the polite steward ; " but you won't hear Madame Albani in heaven."
