Thk Waikato Argus Omens, Wednesday. MR VV. J. HUNTER'S STOCK SALE. At Mr W. J. Hunter's Ohaupo sale on Tuesdav about 900 of all classes of eattle were yarded, nearly all of a good class and in fresh condition. Very few pens were passed. The tone of the market was steady at ruling prices. About 50 dairy cows were offered, many of them of a good class, for which theio was a fair demand, and nearly all sold under the hammer at an advance on late prices. Young pigs also sold well, Mr Rogers selling his Berkshire boars (eight weeks old) at £1 each ; others made 9s 6d to 12a 6d. The following are the quotations :—Dairy cows of good quality, from £4 to £5 10s ; ordinary, from £3 to £4; vearlings, mixed sexes, 255; do., steers", from 25s to 30s; two-year-old steers, fiom £2 to £2 12s; three-year-old steers, £3 to •£4 ; two-year-old heifers, 30s to £2 9a ; calves, mixed, 19s to 21s ; empty cows, from £2 to £2 10s ; fat steers, £5 10s ; fat cows, £3 10s. Sheep : About 1100 were yarded, but only a few sold under the hammer at late quotations. .
