THE DAIRY INDUSTRY.
Mkssks R. R- Hunt k Co. have sent the followiug letter to Mr Spragg : Auckland, November 14, 1898. Wesley Spragg, Esq., New Zealand Dairy Association, Auckland : Dear Sir,—We observe from your published circular dated November 10, that you are about to proceed to Waikato "in order to afford suppliers an opportunity to make inquiries," etc., and you further state that " I will see that no one suffers because of loyalty shown to us." On conferring with the executive of the Milk Suppliers' Union at present in town, they agree with us that we do not know exactly what this means, but they wish us to state that no one shall suffer because of loyalty to you ; on the contrary, the suppliers will all be beneßted by cooperating with us, and we now wish to inform you that if the proposed cooperative company purchase your Waikato butter business, goodwill, etc., they will do so only on the express condition that you and your partner bind yourselves not to have anything to do with the butter business during five years, in any way whatever, south of Mercer. ___^_____^__
