Hunter reports : I had a large sale at Rangiriri on Thursday. Between 900 and 1000 head were yarded, and nearly all sold. The greater proportion were well-grown three to five-year-old bullocks, which were required, and sold well. Buyers were in attendance from all parts of Waikato, Paeroa, Shaftesbury, Miranda and Auckland. Bidding was spirited right through. Four and five-year-old bullocks sold from £4 to £4 19s ; three-year-old steers, £3 to £4 10s ; two-year-old steers, £2 5s to £2 Us 6d ; H-year old steers, £1 12s 6d to £2 2s ; fat"cows, up to £5 Pis ; fat steers, up to £5 18s ; empty cows, £2 to £3 3s ; calves and yearlings, 16s to 30s ; ewes and lambs, 15s the couple. AUCKLAND MARKETS. Messrs Alfred Auckland and Son's Weekly Report. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cows were without alteration in price. Store cattle in demand at fully late values. Fat calves in average number (about 60 sold) were required. Medium-weight calves were from 9s to 16s each ; heavy calves, up to 355. Fat cattle in usual number; 222 yarded. Choice fattened cattle were fully £1 the 1001 b. Heavy oxen, imperfectly finished, at lower values than hitherto. Prices i ranged from 17s to £1 Is the 1001 b. Steers were from £6 to £9 7s 6d each ; cows, £3 7s 6d to £6 12s b'd. Sheep in full number (1700 sold), kept their values. Wethers in their wool were from 14s to 17s 6d each ; shorn, 7s 9d to lis 9d; shorn ewes, 6s 9d to 12s 6d. Lambs plentiful; 385 sold. Fat lambs were from 6s to lis 9d each ; store lambs, 4s. Pigs in full supply ; 150 yarded of very irregular quality, sold freely throughout the sale. v The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) report:—Auckland Wool Stores, 10th November. —We had a good catalogue at our Tuesdays sale. Hides : The market is firm. Heavy Btout ox, 5Jd to 6cl lb ; stout, 4|d to ssd ; medium, 4Jd to 4£d ; light, 3jd to 4d ; cow, best 3|d to 4d, scored and sloppy \d to ?d less ; kip, 3d to 4d ; calf,*3id to 4d. Sheepskins : In slightly better demand. Large, 4s 6d to 5s each ; small and medium, 2s 6d to 4s. Tallow: The best is 13s 6d to 149 3d cwt. Wool: In bags and fadges, halfbred 4fd to sjd lb, crossbred to s£d; pieces, lid to 3d ; dead wool, 3d to 4£d. Hair : Horse, Is to Is 4d lb ; cow, Sd to lOd. Tails, Is 4d dozen. Oats: The market at present is not very strong. Present quotations, ex store, are 2s 5d to 2a for "B" and "C" grades respectively. Maize: No alteration, the price being 2s 8d bushel on the wharf. Chaff is in fair demand at £4 ton at the railway. Messrs. Hunter and Nolan's Report.—Horsefeed, seed, grain, etc. : Maize is selling on wharf at 2s 8d ; ex store, 2s lOd bushel; feed oats, 2s 8d ; bran, £4 ton ; chaff, at station, £4 ; ex Btore, £4 10s. Horses : At the Durham Yards on Friday horses were brought forward in full numbers, but were dull of sale, Heavy draughts realised from £lB to £23 17s 6d. A pair of roans made £3B the pair. Medium draughts, £l2 17a 6d to £l9 ; hacks and light harness horses, from £3 5a to £lO 17s 6d ; a spring cart, £l3; do., £8 ss. Wool, hides, skins, and tallow : Hides still show improvement; stout ox, 4d to s£d ; steer and medium ox, 3jd to 3fd ; goodcondition cow, up to 4d ; calfskins, 2jd to to lis 9d; rough fat, lid lb; horsehair, Is 3d lb. Sheepskins : Not so firm, sold from 2s 6d to 4s 9d ; heavy woolled, to 5s 6d ; pelts, 9d to Is; lambakins, Is 3d to Is fjd. Cattle : At the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday, dairy and store stock were yarded in large numbcre, but showed no alteration in value. Fat cattle were yarded in average quantities, and prices were scarcely up to the previous week, We quote : Fat oxen, from 18s to £1 1001 b; cows, 16s to 18s; fat steers sold at from £5 15s to £8 10s ; cows, £3 5s to £6 10s; dairy cows sold at from £3 5s to £4 17s 6d ; store cattle, at the previous week's quotations. Sheep : The Newmarket Yards were not as full as usual, and sheep advanced in some cases fully 2s per head on last week's prices. Fat wethers made from 10s to 16s 6d ; shorn do., 8s 3d to 14s 3d ; ewes, 10s to 14a 6d ; shorn do., 7s to )3s 3d ; lambs, plentiful, advanced in prices, and sold at from 6s to 12s 9:1.
