HAMILTON HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
A meeting of the committee was held yesterday afternoon. The Secretary repeated that there were a large number of entries and every prospect of a most successful show should the weather prove favourable. Almost all the exhibitors have, however, expressed a wish that the show should be postponed owing to the unusually late and wet season. The matter was fully discussed, and the general opinion of those present was that owing to the continuous rains it would be impossible to have a good show of flowers on Wednesday, 10th, and that the pot plants would be much better at a later date - After careful consideration it was therefore decided to postpone the show till Wednesday, 30th November, and the secretary was instructed to notify intending exhibitors accordingly. All entries already made will remain, but further entries can be made i»p to and including Wednesday, 23rd.
