The Waiiato Argus Ofnck, Wednesday. OHAUPO SALE. On Tuesday at Messrs McNicol and Co.'s yards about 280 head of cattle were yarded, nearly all of them being well bred but many were in low condition and stuuted. Not many dairy cowa were offered, for which there was little or no demand. There were several pens of three and four-year-old steers, for which there was only moderate competition and some of the pens passed, but were sold privately afterwards. There was not a large attendance of the public and the market was not a brisk one, although nearly everything was sold. The following are the quotations : Dairy cows, £3 5s ; eighteen-month steers, 37s ; two-year-old heifers, 355; cows and calves, £2 3s ; yearling heifers, 16s to 20s ; choice yearling heifers. 2Ss ; two-and-a-halfyearold steers, £3 6s to £3 8a ; two-year-old steers, in good condition £2 14s to £2 19s, in low condition £2 to £2 2s j grown steers, £4 to £5; two-and-a-half year«old heifers, £2 7s; mixed yearlings, low condition, 20s ; heifer calves, 15s ; yearling steers, 28s. Sheep: About 250 were yarded. Ewes and lambs, 10s 6d; mixed ewes and wp.thers. 9s 4d.—(Qhaupo Correspondent).
