THE INDIAN EMPIRE.
SPEECH BY LORD CURZON. (by electric telegraph copyright). London, November 8. Lord Curzon, speaking at the Royal Society's dinner, said that India was the pivot and centre of the Imperial system of Great Britain. He would place before everything the Asiatic Empire. The Eastern trend was increasing. The true fulcrum was the heart of Asia. There was the touchstone of greatness or failure.
