MR POND'S V. N.Z. DAIRY ASSOCIATION'S MILK TESTS.

We have received the following from Mr R. Burke, of Mgaroto, .with a request that we would publish it : Owing to the considerable dissatisfication with the low tests, the Te AwamuUi milk suppliers have had a few samples seut to Mr Poud, Governmsut Analyst, to be tested by him, which are as follows : Mr Pond's N.Z. Dairy

Which leaves a loss to the suppliers and gain to the Dairy Association of 0 - 244ptr cent, of butter fat. Taking last season's milk supply as a standard, which is a little less than this, there would be a loss of 20,415 gallons of milk to make up for the Dairy Association testing, as compaied with Mr Pond's 20 415 .gallons at 2Jd, amounts to £284. This is at one creamery. What would be the loss at the whole fifteen Waikato creameries ? In two years it would pay the cost of buying or building new creameries.
