RANGIAOHIA ROAD BOARD.
THE usual monthly meeting of the above Board was held on Saturday last. There were present : —Messrs \V. H. Mandeuo (chairman), Geo. McKinder, R. Burke, R. Kay and M. Tumey. Storey's Road.—The Chairman stated that he had made arrangements for this work to be done. Municipal Franchise. A circular was received from the Ohiuemuri County Council re Municipal Franchise Reform. —The Clerk was instructed to write to the Council stating that the Buard was in full sympathy with the sentiments contained in the circular.
Old Trouble. —A letter was received from Mr W. Voice, informing the Board that the time has now arrived for the Board to provide him with pipes for his entrance, it not he would do the work himself and put ti-tree down.—lt was decided to cut the entrance, but not to provide pipes. • Fokkkrt and Shaw. The Board decided to let the parties arrange the road fencing, etc., between themselves. Works.—The following tenders were received for the various road works: Hake road contract—Bearsley aDd Bygrave, 4s per chain for formation, 7d per foot for excavations; Clayton and Co., 63 per chain formation ; Karl, 4s 6d per chain formation ; Rata, 3s 9d per chain formation; Crouch, 4s 6d per chain formation, 7d per cubic foot excavation. Messrs Bearsley and Bygraves' tender was accepted.—Works on the Puniu road : McNaul Bros., 4s 3d per chain*; Crouch, 4s Pd per chain ; McGee, 5s 3d per chain. MoNaul Bros.' tender was accepted. Kay's Road.—lt was aereed to have 16 chains of formation done on this road.
Ellis Road.—Mr Turney was authorised to have £2 spent on this bye-road. Te Rahc Station Road.—Resolved to call tenders for about 40 chains of formation on this road, tenders to be in by next meeting.
Accounts.—The following accounts were passed for payment:—Mcftaul Bros.', progress payment, £l7 10s; Bearsley and Bygrave, £ls 2s 6d.
